I have a 1957 Evinrude Sprotwin 10 hp. It has duel fuel lines. Does any one know the right gas/oil mix ratio? Also does anyone know where I can view manuals on line? Thank You, MIke Haley

Boy do I still Love the winding sound as I call it of a clamshell(splitcover)Evinrude or Johnson mid to late 50S outboard motor 10,15, or 18Hp when it spools up to full throttle. Its very very cool in my book,LOL. It makes me think of how great and wellbuilt they were back then.Anyway back in the old days they would mix one quart SAE #30 weight oil to 6 gallons of gas.Today you can use one pint of twocycle oil to 6 gallons(50:1).Glenn in New York.

Sorry, but that motor should NOT be run @ 50:1 - 20 or 24:1 would be the correct mix. If it hasn't been ran in a long time - I would go for the 20:1 for at least the 1st tank......
