The only time my boat does not go on the trailer is when we are at the lake house. The other 90% of the time it is on the trailer.
People tell me I should get a pool, I reply I have one. It is sitting on the trailer and anywhere I launch it IS my pool:D.

I have a pool and a trailered boat. I use the boat 20 times more than the pool.

Same here, where ever the boat is in the water, its in my pool.

Sometimes it becomes a pool when i dont adjust the cover well and it rains. Man i hate that. Not a problem now that i got two ajustable rods for it.

Custom made cover baby:D.
I CAN'T put it on wrong.
And I have tried more than once:rolleyes:.

Actually, if you leave the plug out just long enough to get the right depth in the boat then put the plug in, you never have to get out of the floaty toy:D

Add another for the trailer only. I refuse to pay more for a slip than I paid for the boat!!!!!

LOL funny,

On my 88 Capri that we had, i had a transom dry rot issue, and parted the boat out.

sold the seats, hacked out the fuel tank, sold the windows, sold the engine, no one wanted the OMC Cobra suprisingly.

Basically it was just a shell, 20' Bayliner Cuddy.

We were going on vacation, so i parked the eye sore alongside the house.

Well, it ended up raining a lot during the week and a half that we were gone.

and it was sitting along side the house with a brokedn gutter, with the plug still in it.

So, we get back, i had a call from Evergreen Speedway who wanted the boat for the boat races, basically a demo derby with boats.

I go to hook it up and notice the tires are awfully low, and i cant lift the tongue.

I look in the boat and it is 3/4 full of water. Yikes. I found where the water was leaking in when it was in the water. It drained for 4 hrs.

I would never leave my boat in the water unless we are on vacation with it. Moored out, no way. Left at a marina in dry storage, never have but might consider it but why pay to keep a boat in dry storage when I can do that at home.

Wouldn't size have a lot to do with it?
I mean, there's a big difference in lugging around a 21' fish and ski versus a 33' express cruiser with a 10' beam? I do not own a boat.... yet. But am looking at a cruiser and no way am I going to lug the thing 30 miles back and forth.
Boat is staying in the water where it belongs.

The only way to go!! If I had my house on the lake and was able to build my own dock then it would be a differant story, but for now I trailer her everywhere.

Yeah I have a feeling all these comments are by owners of runabouts and dinghies.. If I had a 40' boat no way would I be taking it out of the water. That said, I'm not taking out my 28'/10' beam boat out of the water either.

Re: do you only trailer or are in part of a marine/yacht club

I keep mine on a trailer, but I do pay to keep in a storage yard by the water (with a launch ramp.)

I would keep it at my house, but there's no place to put it, and the neighbor's don't really appreciate me parallel parking it on the street.
