O ya, I screwed it in. Took one spark plug out. And pulled the pull chord 4 , 5times. Are you thinking piston rings ?
Something isn't working, got another motor you can test the gauge on? Zero on both holes is just weird unless the head gasket isn't holding at all. Bolts for the head tight? Zero on 1 maybe, both, no way unless the head is badly warped and I mean twisted.

Correction: I tighten alot of the bolts.. (some were loose) and got a compression of around 60 psi for each cylinder. So thats that. Should I go and start it up , /try it.?
Shold be higher, more like 90+ , did you not torque the head down with a torque wrench in the proper pattern?
So, ok with doing another test. I found that after two pulls with each cylinder, the compression builds up to a little above 90... So the compression is building up.
