so after a good rainstorm today, i was wiping down the interiour of my boat today. its a bowrider i/o with a sundeck. in the engine compartment i climb in to dry things off and i see water weeping out of the floor where i am standing on it. wow. its not an old boat, 2006, does this mean its waterlogged and sure to rot?

it sounds like it is water logged and rotting...do you store it outside uncovered with the drain plug in ?

no its always in a garage dry except for when its in use. on the lake now for 2 weeks, but stored inside the other 50 weeks / year. wasnt wet before today, but got caught in 3 showers so it got a good soak today. the engine bay isnt gelcoated, (glastron) i wish it was....

Is there carpet? or is the wood seeping? If there is carpet then I would leave out in the sun to dry. If it's only once it shouldn't have hurt it, but it's not good for it in the long run. You might even consider pulling the carpet and put a coat of glass or good enamel paint on the wood once it dries so it drains instead of soaking in.
