Dose my factory manual exist?

Ok so I have been trying to find the factory manual for my engine and can?t find it anywhere. My engine is a 92 OMC v115slend (yes it?s a quiet rider) if anyone knows how I can find one that would be great.
I have spoken with a local mechanic (Panama City, FL) and he told me my engine and the Johnson/Evenrude of that year are the same. Does anyone know if this is true? And if so do you know the model number of the Johnson/Evenrude I need.

The trailing D on your model number refers to a factory run or change within the model year. The V indicates that your engine was installed by the boat builder. Use 115SLEND in your search.

Outboardbooks.com has books older than a certain cut-off date. Newer than that date, you get them from an Evinrude dealer. Sorry, I don't know what that date is.

I wonder if you wrote your number down correctly...of the two sites I use to look up motors and parts, neither had a listing for a 115 SL motor. they did list an SL motor in 100 HP and it had a V on the front as well...

SL usually means special styling in a long shaft...usually a white motor..

but i had a motor that i couldnt find as well...so I dont doubt an odd ball got through that doesnt show up in the standard listings..

I had a 2001 johnson 50 hp with a V in the model number, but the V was after the "50" and before the "S".....

I had seen a few listings of models with the V after the hp, but none in 50 for my year

Go to BPR parts web site, click on Evinrude, click on Quite Rider. Click on your year.
The V4 engine is a cross flow

Dumb question maybe but hear go?s. how can I tell if my motor is a 60 or a 90 degree?

model number first off

the shape of the motor cover...

90 degrees had two latches in the back, 60's had only one

the cover is kinda triangular shaped on the 90's and more rectangular shaped on the 60's

then i THINK( not 100% sure) all the 60 degree motors have covers over the flywheel, but on the 90's you can see the flywheel

The engine is a crossflow so it is 90 degrees.

You have the model number correct in your opening question, "V115SLEND".

'97 and newer motors - manuals from BRP Evinrude dealer.

'96 and older - outboardbooks.com, Ebay, etc.

"V" means it was built for a boat builder. Does it have a different name, other than Johnson or Evinrude? Whatever the difference, it is probably the same under the skin.

As far as I can tell the motor is exactly the same. The only difference is the way it is mounted, the motor rotates within its own axis and has a cover that mounts to the boat and covers the engine to make it quiet. And yes it works very well so well you really can?t tell the motor is running.
