Hi I own a 1990 Crestliner with a 4.3. I have owned the boat for 4 years and have had the impeller replaced and last year the bellows and gimbal bearing replaced. I have a few questions. Last week while trolling for walleye I noticed I was running 2500 rpm at 3mph (with trolling bags out) usually im at 1200-1500 rpm at that speed? I couldn't hear any difference in the motor running any faster? I thought maybe the tachometer was messed up, but found I had burned a lot more fuel then normal at the gas station?? 2nd question. On the way in it seemed sluggish. From about 1/4 to 3/4 throttle it seemed like it had little power. then at full throttle it took off like normal and ran fine the rest of the way In?. Carburetor? bad gas? something else? HELP!
