$9500? Keep shopping... be patient.....if your going to be in big lakes (miles long and wide) where wind can cause big chop..look in 20ft range...for 9500 u will have no prob finding a 20yr old boat....boats are all about how they were cared for...dont let age throw u...

That Crestliner is a nice wide and stable boat....probably one of the more popular aluminum rigs out there. While I agree that it depends on the lakes the OP will be fishing, to me $9500 doesn't seem that out of line. I have a 17.5' Lowe, and I regularly take that out on Lake Winnebago (30 miles lone, 10 miles wide, but only 20ft deep so it gets ROUGH) and have never felt unsafe. I have looked at what some similar boats have actually sold for in my area, and a dealership near me sold pretty much the same combo as in my signature (same everything except I have an extra EM TM and better electronics) last fall for $15k. Its only 3 years newer, but shorter and not as big of an Opti.

Prices are regional. In MN where I'm at that boat wouldn't last 2 days at that price, I'm surprised it's been for sale for a month (must have been a higher starting price).

I would not consider that a deep V walleye boat. They are deep but not nearly as much as other 18' fishing boats. Crestliner is a great boat but are known for a wet ride, it's earned them the nick name "Wetliners" especially with a single console.

Its not as deep as my Lowe, that much is for sure, but its still fairly deep and stable. I paid only slightly less than that for my Lowe...the price is really good. Without knowing how the OP plans to use it, tough to say how good of a fit it is.

I have never been in a Crestliner, but the dealer down the street has a lot of them.....didn't realize they were a wet ride. My Lowe can be as well.....but only in a real good chop.

Very good thanks guys. Most lake I think it will be fine in. Every now and then I plan on a trip to lake maconaghy which is about 2 miles wide by 20 miles long. So I think it will be ok just depends on the inside condition and how the motor runs....
