I give up with the apathy of local dealers who are unwilling to put in the leg work. I just want my boat back in the water and am unable to identify and locate my handle or a suitable entire replacement controll box. so.... In desperation

I am looking for a replacement handle for a Quicksilver circa 1987 Commander remote control box, side mounted, flush fit, with tilt /trim and trailer, and neutral lock. (OR REPLACEMENT UNIT original, modern, or non OEM)

This is what the handle looks like mounted:

The handle differs from the Mercruiser parts list which is 93863A 3 Mercury Quicksilver Handle Assembly which has the internal mold number 93862 in that the flush fit model has a circular elbow joint / bushing as seen in the following pictures (left hand side unit) and is slightly shorter and offset.

The replacement handle I am after has the following mold number 87513

If the handle is unavailable I am happy to replace the entire unit with one that will be a best fit into the existing recess in the side panel (second of the mounted pics, mine has even more padding to the side pannel.

The current cables are 14 foot Mercruiser part numbers MORSE-D63732-000-0168.0, they may need replacing with a new unit.

The control box has a 4 wire loom and a two wire loom that lead out of it. I believe that the two yellow wires are the neutral safety start / cut-out leads?

The four wire loom leads to the tilt trim motor where three go into the following plug and the fourth (purple) breaks off to the engine bay.

If the handle cannot be identified and sourced I am looking for a entire replacement (of any brand, make, whatever) that will flush mount and tap into the existing wiring loom. Any help.... please...

I have an 1989 Mercruiser Commander 2500 ...Only place is E-bay the handle itself you don't see that much but sometimes you can get the whole control for under $100.00. The wiring you stated is correct, there are two different handles one is straight up and the other is angled away.

Strange, I used the forum "link from url" to my photobucket account. I'll try the IMG \ IMG method and see if it resolves.
