well it goes into gear and very easy to move in the drive way. question is: How far does ur throttle move before it goes into gear? my old cable was so bad I couldn't tell what new feels like. lol.. Mine moves a few inches before it will go into gear. (both reverse and forward are about the same distance) The old cable was hard to even find neutral and was very hard to get into gear.

Ayuh,.... Most controllers take 'bout 1/4 of the total motion(of each direction, not combined total travel) to engage the drive, then abit of slack, then the throttle oughta pick up,....

You used the OMC tools to adjust the new cable right? There is a bellcrank tool and a tool you use up at the engine side.

Sure did!!! and just if anyone is looking for the set, I bought mine off ebay for 39 bucks.

I'm going to put it in the water this weekend and give it a try. It is AMAZING how smooth it is.

:D Didn't know OMC's had a cable called THAT ...

sorry, i'll keep it PG ..lol. It wasn't really that bad, glad I didn't pay someone to do it. I accidently broke the first one I installed (but was totally my fault)
