Timing cover replacement on 2008 4.3l gxi

Hey everyone I'm wondering if I can change my timing cover with out removing the oil pan on my 2008 reinell with a 4.3l gxi Volvo penta. The balancer pulley came apart and rubbed through the cover.

Ayuh,.... You may, or probably not be able to swap it in the boat, but it's Best done on a motor stand, up-side-down, 'n takin' the pan off,....
