Mercruiser 3.0 Timing?

I have a 1996 Bayliner 1850 that has a a fresh rebuilt 1983 Mercruiser 3.0. I did away with the point and installed an electronic ignition on it. My question is does anyone no what Timing should be? Thanks in advance Jeff

Same as with points, 6?BTDC.

Did you swap a electronic module into your points distributor, or do a complete electronic ignition upgrade like the Delco EST or Mecruiser's DDIS system?

I'm thinking it's a module swap and achris's info would be spot-on. But if it's a complete electronic ignition system, it's going to be different.
