Hi guys: I have been reading some of the posts about the lowrance LSM-1 depth finder and wanted to add a few things that I have found. First ,my boat is a 1994 Four Winns 190 horizon. Just purchased about two months ago. The in dash depth finder just looked at me with a blank screen. I checked for the black box under the dash and it had a lowrance LSM-1 lable on it. Now some of the posts indicated that the cable with a 6 pin cannon plus was missing. I found the cable hardwired to the inside of the LSM-1 box . anyhow what I did to get my screen display working as to remove the 6 pin cannon plug from the back of the in dash display and spray the contacts with electrical contact cleaner . After reconnecting the cable and made sure it was tight I then turned the key switch turned on and the display was working!! With the boat on the trailer in the shop the display shows .0 an is flashing .In the water the unit goes right to work showing water depth both sitting at the dock or up on full plane . I hope this helps you folks with this older system. There is not too much info about the LSM-1 out there.
