5.0gxi won't start. Still no fuel

Okay guys so I have a 2005 chapparal with a 5.0 gxi (EFI)...the boat was running good then all of a sudden would not start.... It appears to be not getting fuel to the injectors so I replaced the fuel cell (hp and lp fuel pump) with a new OEM one and it still does not start... The boat is not throwing any codes, and the fuel pump cuts on with the turn of the key for a few seconds, and also with the ignition. However no fuel is being pumped. I have even had both the fuel pumps 12v directly to ensure they were working and they both will cut on with 12v... The water separator was replaced and filled with fresh gas, the gas tank is full of fresh gas... The gas line going into the water separator holds fuel so I do not believe there is a restriction of fuel at the tank... I even tried an external tank with no success. I'm leaning to the pumps not working. Even though they are brand new. I swapped the relay for the fuel pump on the black box with no change, and also replaced the fuses.... What I have been doing is disconnecting the other end of the fuel lines (the two black lines with quick disconnects on the intake leading from the fuel pumps) and putting those in a small container to catch fuel. Shouldn't there be fuel coming out while cranking? Is there anything I'm missing?

Have you checked the safety kill switch "dead mans switch" to ensure it is not engaged?

Yes I have. I have a good spark. Wouldn't that kill spark?

Your disconnecting the return line, and with the fuel pumps running you get no fuel, right?

If this is the case, remove the fuel line coming from the tank going to the fuel filter. Get a gas can and put the fuel line in the can. Turn your pumps on and see if you get fuel

I tried this and still got no fuel coming out... Both of the quick connect fittings on the fuel rail, Should they both have fuel coming out of them when disconnected and turning the boat over? One line has pressure and very little if any fuel, the other line has no pressure and no fuel.

Quick connect fittings seal off when removed, I don't see fuel making it past the fitting without using something to keep it open. Do you have a Shrader valve on the fuel rail? If so you should be able to push it in and fuel will spray out. Caution: use a rag over fitting and wear safety glasses when doing this.

Might need the air purged from the rail

I had to completely drain the fuel tank because it had about a liter of water in it. The only way to completely drain the tank in to remove the fuel gauge sending unit, use that hole, and use a hand pump to get the gas out. I got a hand pump that mounts on top of a barrel and made a stand for it. It worked great and my fuel tank is now completely clean. I also replaced the sending unit which I would recommend if it is old. My boat would crank and run at low speed, but would stall out when I would get up enough speed to plane out. It now runs great. ll this after replacing the fuel pump and carburetor which did not fix the problem.
