I have a 2001 Starfie 170LE (see signature) with a small problem. The latch for one of the side rod locker doors has frozen up. I managed to get the door open by drilling out the pop rivets but I need to replace the lock/latch mechanism. The outside has a rectangular recessed backing plate. The lock cylinder it self gas a D-shaped bail that actually turns the catch mechanism on the inside.

If I can't get an exact match, I would buy 2 for the port and starboard rod lockers, assuming the cost is not too high.

If you have any big box stores near by you may want to take a look in the cabinet hardware section. Take the big nut off and take it all apart. Looks like a standard lock core with added plates, D ring bezel and lock latch.

The only issue would be if it is stainless or not.

Take the lock with you to match the diameter and length of the core.

Buy how ever many are in the boat and you can change them all out so they are all keyed alike.

Did you try the dealer?
