Well it's a 2004 1600 Crestliner super hawk with a 2003 75hp yahmah 4 stroke comes with 55d Minnkota trolling motor and hummingbird 386ci DI sonar. .. asking price... 8,900... but he said that price has room to negotiate

Price seems decent, those are popular boats around here and they seem to hold their value pretty well.

Kind of funny to have an article that starts with the assumption that winter is miserable. Winter is one of the best things about MN, keeps most of the riff raff out. ;)

It's great when there is snow...truth be told I truly can't figure out why we have as much riff raff as we do have. If I were riff raff, id choose to be riff raff somewhere warmer.

When I say riff raff I mean Californians ;)

I've gone back to 16' tin boats three times. Wife, dog, cooler and room for two more once in a while. Light enough to tow to the water fast without sucking gas and will cruise all day on 20 bucks worth of fuel. You can run them up on any beach and fight thru a crowded ramp with ease. The best part is that it's so simple, cheap and easy to use that you use it more often. Only have half a day? Go dunk the boat in. Good choice and I hope you make a deal. Here is the 2004 Crestliner sales brochure.

I have a place in Tahoe and my GF has a place in Big Bear so I can drive to good skiing and don't have to live in the snow.

See though at least CA offers anything and everything under the sun for your taxes. We have actually become fond of Big Sky/Moonlight Basin because the skiing is so good and the mountain is always empty plus friends who join us from the East Coast can handle the flight.

How come it's funny that you live in one of the coldest parts of the country but you have to fly to go skiing!

I do most of my racing around here, but will be driving to MI for league finals in a couple weeks and then driving to Steamboat for Nationals a week or so after that. If you are into racing then MN is great, if you like powder then not so much ;)

(As if this thread wasn't already 30 feet off the road in the ditch)

And I was told this doesn't happen on iboats by the member who led me here.
It typically doesn't. In this case it's cruising along mostly in good natured bantering right now ... and the OP was okay with and kinda' involved the derail (after he moved the question he needed answered to another topic :D ).

Skiing in MN at our tiny ski hills is like one non stainless steel screw from a 1975 trihull and skiing out west is like a fleet of 50 foot cruisers. Aside from the fact we've had no snow in two years, if nobody had invented snowmobiles, I don't know what we'd look forward to.

I grew up skiing on a hill that had a vertical drop of maybe 500 feet and the longest run was half a mile. The hill produced two national ski team skiers. I have many fond memories.

Yeah, Lindsay Vonn came out of one of our local 200+ foot snow bumps and Kaylin Richardson came off one of our other bumps ;)
