Coming up this weekend from Las Vegas - Cup and Xfinity on the schedule, Trucks are off until April 2nd. Today, Thursday, Cuppers have 5 hours of testing time for the new low down force package and new tire compounds from Goodyear. The complete schedule from MRN;

For the second race, the entry list is one short of a full field - 39. I know they are leaving a spot for Gordon in case he un-retires.

News and Notes
  • Atlanta penalties and warnings - Don't know where to start! A total of 7 fines and/or suspensions and/or probations were handed out after Atlanta. Front Row got the heavy hit after roof flap violations for the second week in a row, suspended CC Cole Pearn is appealing.. In addition, three teams got warnings for failing inspection.
  • Aero package - It seems the drivers like the new package. They probably like to visit the Sherwin-Williams paint test lab, too.
  • TV ratings - I think Johnny Cash wrote and sang a song about Nascar TV ratings.
  • Darlington is looking for a new Lady In Black track representative.

The second 2016 iFL winner is sam60. The 40 bonus points saved your bacon, sam. Dust off the mantle, you need a nice, clean spot for this -

Congrats!
Urea 24 is still on top of the league leader board. I don't think Urea met our FlaCowboy yet.

Make any changes before the green flag drops on Sunday. Good luck boys and girls.

Ahhhhh, what schedule? As far as the new aero package, the drivers may like it,but, it didn't appear to change what happened on track from viewers point of view.....

Why the schedule that's right up there.

I had troubles when writing the post and used the Auto Save/recovery. Sometimes it doesn't pick up all the attachments.

As boring as the race was, there 39 Ralph Kramdens on the track in driver suits and helmets.

Sure, blame it on VB5 ... it's not like it hasn't taken any flack for anything else ... a good driver would have made the save/recovery and not crashed and burned!

I didn't say it was VB5! But it was, I'm sure.

VBulletin batteries don't last as long as they used to in wireless keyboards. :D

Shrubby won over Daniel Su?rez in the Las Vegas Xfinity race, leading all but 1 lap. Erik Jones, Chase Elliott and Austin Dillon rounded out the top 5.

The Cup race green flag drops at 3:46PM Eastern Sunday afternoon.

Forgot to record the race yesterday. Spent the day traveling to scout a Robotics meet with my son's robotics team.

Very cool IMO. Some very innovative technology coming from these HS teams. Our robot should be good at doing most tasks, but watching the match there are couple teams that nailed all of the objectives.

Might have to incorporate a few ideas to try and get an advantage on the track.

I didn't do a weather forecast in the first post because it seldom rains in Vegas. The wind made a nice presentation of the Colors!

Competition caution. Cars are picking up plenty of junk on the grilles. All Busch41 so far, the only leader.

I'm thinking the powers don't like endless, boring green flag racing with the new aero. So yellows are the only way to make some excitement.
