What are the blades made of? Rubber? Stainless?
Ciculating engine water pumps usually have bronze or cast impellers

Even if the thermostat was not opening the water would go out the exhaust. Any water the block does not need (thermostat controlled) goes straight out the exhaust. If the pulling the hose off the thermostat test fails you can pull the drive off and shove the hose in the water inlet on the bellhousing.

Okay we pulled the hose off and there was no water getting to it. I attached pics to show which hose I pulled off.

That is the hose that goes to the circ pump. You need to pull the hose that comes from the transom to the thermostat housing to check.

Here you go ! Pull the hose # 7 where it connects to steering cooler and start motor.Sometimes there exists a air lock and this hose will take care of that .Water will pour out fast when you point this hose overboard.Stop motor and reconnect. Then if you want a cool running boat look at the first parts diagram, 7 point and change your system to that configuration.Money well spent and not hard to do.Single point or 3 point whatever you want to call them are total disasters, this system does not cool well in my opinion.

Thank you all so much for all the help. I ended up bringing it to the shop. They noticed that there was some corrosion build up on a plate in the foot so it wasn't making a seal with the gasket and it sucked up some air which caused cavitation. So its taken care of and now I am back to enjoying my boat. Thanks again to all of you!
