Helloo,
I have a Glastron gs 249 with a 5.7 volvo penta engine that was replaced two years ago. This year when runing there is water in the engine! What can I do to fix it?

Water in the oil? Or water coming out of the engine and into the bilge?

Welcome aboard.

Is this a new to you boat? Did you do the winterizing yourself? A bit more information needed

We have the boat for 6 years now. The engine is 3 years old and never has it done something like this before. Winterizing is done by ourselfs and a boat mechanic. The engine is still working, but it gets over heated and when we open the compartment where the engine is there is water in everywhere. We really have no idea what is going on. Unfortunately in Bulgaria where I live there r exactly 5 people who can fix boats like mine and all 5 don't know what the proble could be, and when we find the problem how can we protect the engine from this. I read about the closed cooling system is it good? And another question is it possible to put a reverse valve on the volvo penta like it's on the Mercruiser engines? (I am sorry for the stupid questions, but frankly the boat is my dad's and he doesn't speak English at all )

Closed cooling is always good, however once the boat has been run in salt, its a bit late to add it.

the water everywhere is a concern along with the water in the oil and on the plugs

how did you do the winterization, specifically, and step by step. The required process is to remove the drain plugs, drain everything, disconnect the supply hose to the raw water pump and drain that. pull the impeller and place impeller in a plastic bag with the plugs removed from the motor. zip tie the plastic bag to the steering wheel (so they dont get lost). change all fluids and filters

come spring, reinstall the impeller, or install new impeller, reinstall drain plugs and go boating.

I suspect a cracked block from improper winterization, or simply the plugs were left out and not installed in spring.

with the boat on the trailer, and running the engine on the muffs, where specifically is the water coming from?
