Specs:
1984 Sea Ray 245 Cuddy Cruiser
260 Mercruiser on a 350 V8 - Serial 6842157
1984 4 barrel Rochester Quadrajet - 17080561
Thunderbolt IV Ignition System
Gas in tank is from a Kroger (grocery store) where I buy gas for all my vehicles.

I just replaced the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and ignition coil in my 1984 Sea Ray Cuddy.

I started it up and it was running terrible and cutting out and would not idle at normal idle throttle. Figured it was the coil since I couldn't find a solid answer on the replacement part for it. Swapped it out with the old one and it runs ok now at normal idle throttle.

The issue is now it has what sounds like a tick or knock in the engine and every now and again the motor will almost jolt. Would someone mind watching the videos I put on youtube and let me know what you think? You can see the motor jolt in the end of the first video and you can hear the noise better in the second one.

This is all stemming from an issue I have a thread going about here:

Thanks in advance!

Double cheak that your plug wires are on the proper cylinders. Youve got a cylinder missfiring..

Thanks for the reply. I'll double checked them but i'll do it again. I ran them the same order as the old cap.

Could be a bad plug wire arcing against a ground. Fire it up after dark. Oops...see that you've already replaced the wires.

To me it sounds like exhaust shutters, ujoints or gimbal bearing frozen. Where does it sound like it's coming from? If from rear of engine might be worth pulling the drive, hooking a water hose onto the water to thermostat supply hose (clamp down on hose end) and running the engine to eliminate any of these sources.

Tighten your belts! If the noise don't away blame it the exhaust shutters!

That alternator belt is probably junk it's so loose!
