I know this is a very broad question, but where is the best place to look for and purchase a bimini top? Here?

And what about mounting? Inside/outside of windshield? On the windshield frame? I know mounting has a big bearing on the frame height.
What about length? I am seeing 4', 5, even 6' recommended.

The boat is a 1989 Wellcraft Classic 192.

Why you don't you go to a Ford dealer and leave Dodge or Chevy dealer business cards laying around?

Well, I had an order all set to go, ON THIS SITE, but now I am re-thinking it. I was not aware that this forum is only to discuss items from this site. I was looking for recommendations. I was IN NO WAY trying to push or advertise other sites. Are you THAT afraid of competition?? I have purchased from this site in the past and had intended to do so again.

Thank you for your help and suggestions about my bimini top.

I also feel this is something that should be handled via PM, and NOT on the public forum.

It needs to be handled in the public forum so all members can learn not to post competing links, especially if iboats carries the item... Don't forget, this is an online retail store first and a forum second..... For iboats to allow members posting competing links, it's like shooting themselves in the foot. Tough to make money that way....

Post a picture of your boat and we might be able to suggest options.

I am a big fan of getting one custom made so it fits exactly as it should. I also prefer stainless poles and fittings that might be a problem finding on a site like iboats.

Yes, iboats offers SS frame options on some biminis and all have optional SS fittings.

Links? Sunbrella?

I did some searches on iboats and found anodized aluminum as the only choice! Did not find any choices to upgrade to ss tubing or fittings. If these are available, then a new search needs to be added! Pretty disappointing search feature if they are really available.

As I said some have SS frame options and all have SS fittings as options. A random sample - http://biminitops.iboats.com/Convent...t_id=015895223

Here is a search result. I agree it isn't definitive as you want, but it has two options meant to assist you, Chat and Messaging Customer Service. I don't mind talking to someone willing to help - http://www.iboats.com/Boat-Parts-Ac...ion_id.155830234&q=bimini sunbrella stainless

OK...I went in there and found the options. Pretty close in price to what I paid for a custom made bimini with Sunbrella and side curtains!

I think the OP should check canvas shops.

I think any opportunities to support the sponsor of this free forum should be fully explored before giving advice to look elsewhere.

Here, Bruce, perhaps you didnt hear/read it the 1st time:

The OP should get the best top that fits his boat. In this particular case, that is getting a custom top made.

BTW, other moderators have given posters the exact device in other threads.

If a custom unit is warranted or desired by a member, a custom top is suggested. Otherwise, the iboats store is the obvious recommended source.

This has gone far past ridiculous.
