fixing Hairline cracks in Gelcoat is a bit tedious. You need to use a Dremel or Drill with a "V" bit to grind out each vein of the cracking and then fill with Gelcoat Paste and then sand and buff.

Dude it's over the whole boat top not just one area ya know what I mean lol it would take longer to grind them out than to fix stringers an transom combined

Ok well I have cap separated from hull will dig post holes sat an lift it completely off am then address removing the liner an then the real fun begins lol

If you paint it then all that's necessary is to sand with 80 grit to sand em out and then blow it off and clean well with Acetone. Shoot a couple of coats of High fill primer and then Paint it. It will look NEW!!!

Well wish me luck fellows I plan to remove the cap tomorrow I just put four 6x6 posts in the ground an will put the two across top tomorrow .
I also wonder if anyone has any marine brackets rated for two 250 hp motors they might would want to part with

Also what is the best way to remove the inner liner . I understand how to get it loose Im curious where I should lift on it from

Yup, that's the stuff!!!! US Composites sells 5gallons for $125 but...with shipping it works out to be about the same price as what you're looking at. I've used USC's resin anb KNOW that its good and fresh. Resin has a Shelf Life soooo I'd be texting them to confirm it's FRESH!!!

Is it just me or does it seem like they used little 6x6 or 4x4 blocks of wood instead of solid sheets of plywood it doesn't make sense why they done this . Anyone have any ideas about this
