I'm thinking a Uniflite like the one above but about 22' and then torn down and rebuilt like this guys
http://www.ifish.net/board/showthread.php?t=426250&page=7 with a full width OB Pod and a nice canvas for the pacific rains.

It seems like all boats these days are built with no fishing deck and a splash well taking up the prime fish fighting positions. Maybe my dream is just to have a Kingfisher though :D:lol:

Are there any boats still built like this? Closest I can think of is the Boston Whaler and they tend to have shallow rails, and narrow hulls.

And what's with our boat launches in this state. They are all too narrow, too shallow, and have too little parking!

What's your budget, time frame and persistence?, looks like pricy multi year project.

At this point I'm wrapping up a '17 Bellboy Runabout and will probbaly fish that for 5 years. But once I settle into a new job, and have started in on the kids, my hope is to buy a new place with a detached shop. Once I have the shop everything is downhill after that right?!?

I could get a no-power I/O bayliner for $1,500 and build the rest. I imagine by the time the kids are old enough to need it I could have it done for less than $7,000 then buy my "Forever" O.B.

Mickyryan is really getting me to think it's a possibility

Building what you want in a boat is tough but rewarding work and if done right will be better than new.

Here on the Eastside of the State in the rain shadow we have many big ramps and some with double ramps and center floating docks. There's lots of launches with lower and upper levels of parking with pull through round abouts. Oh yeah and it doesn't rain but a few times during the boating season. :D

I think about that every time I visit family on the Olympic Peninsula and see their tarped boats. They're constantly cleaning mold up. The perks of 100 degree arid climates 😎👊
