New guy with a question about flooring

Have a 16 footer`89 Alumacraft(aluminium) boat and want to remove the carpet and put some type of tile,flooring.or something along those lines.
The deck/flooring is very solid.Not a single mushy spot.It's always stored in the pole barn soon as it's back home.

So my question is,what is a good flooring/covering to put on the deck/ floor after removing the carpet?

I've posted this in the past so I thought I'd post it again. This Deck tile (Duragrid)is really good stuff for a fishing boat IMHO. Easy to work with, and allows you to hose down the deck and out the bilge very easily. A little less than $3 bucks per square foot. Typical 16ft boat can be done for $250 or less. Nautolex with glue etc. will run about the same. Once the carpets out you'll need to prep the plywood regardless of the type of covering used. It won't wear out!!!

I think whatever you use, you are looking at pulling the floor out. I used nautilux over epoxied marine ply. The best way to secure the nautilex is with glue and stapling it to the back side of the ply wood so it doesn't curl on you. The epoxy is a must for keeping the floor waterproof and the edges are the most important part of the wood to seal, so, the floors should come out even just to epoxy. It may seem like more than you want to do but if you don't do it now....you'll be doing it in a few years. Untreated wood for a deck won't last too long. You can use WoGs old timers formula to seal but once again, the sides or edges are the most important to seal. Sorry to give you the bad news.

Was kinda thinking of that exact same thing.As while I'm there,might as well go ahead and do that.Like you said,eventually I'm going to have to.

Nautolex is largely an aftermarket product. I used MariDeck (from *******), which is OEM for Starcraft, Alumacraft, Tracker, etc. Awesome flooring, plus i covered a few seats with it as well.
