Hi all, new to the board. Thanks to all of you, I have gained lots of knowledge for being a first time boat owner. I bought a 1982 Bayliner Capri 1950 with a VP AQ125A engine and 270 Outdrive.
One thing is stumping me though. I can't seem to get raw water to flow to cool the engine. I have replaced the bottom outdrive seals, hose connector from outdrive, hoses to the pipes, seals for the pipes around the raw water pump, impeller with seals, all the seals at the water exchanger, and have checked the exhaust manifold for clogs. It has a new thermostat also.
Is there anything that I am missing? I have tried it with muffs and in a tub of water to no avail. If I pour water from the inlet hose after the transom it flows great. Thanks for your help.
