Hi all newbie here! Purchased this prop from ebay put it on for a quick sea trial before winterizing. Just bought an 84 Bayliner Ciera 2450 Sunbridge. Prop that was on it was hosed. Previous owner took the prop out so I got this ebay special prop. It's a 15x 19 volvo long hub. Boat vibrates like hell above 2500rpm. Does it going straight or into turns. Goes away at idle. Does this prop look bad? The mounting cone is off center on the lower unit when installed also. The hub looks a little off and the washer is oblong also.

Send it to a prop shop and have it checked, balanced, whatever it needs to be done. Then go for a wot test run and check achieved max wot revs as currently loaded.

Good idea to do that first, but
Not to be the bearer of bad news but If they find that the prop is balanced it may be a shaft issue.

Would prefer one zillion times to have a second hand prop with unbalance issues than a bent shaft issue LOL!!

I did the backyard shaft test with a ladder wrung up to the shaft. Spun it with no variance. The hub looks smushed, and measures 1/10 of an inch off center from the outer hub on one side. I can tell the blades have been repaired due the the difference in paint texture.

It's really off center. I can see its off with the naked eye when I spin it. I stuck a pencil in the space in the base where the prop meets the lower unit and the tip sheared off when I spun the prop around, it's like a centimetre off center. Ordered a new one today.

You could just have it rehubbed for about $100

Have you ordered same exact prop along pitch? As you have not stated achieved wot rpm with current prop as usually loaded, could be dumping money straight into the deep with a second same exact one. Probably is not the right prop your combo needs...
