New boat owner and i'm a bit worried that I'll mess something up.
Is there any major flaws in what I did to winterize my engine?
1998 2.0L Mariner V6 150hp

I ran the engine with stabilizer in the tank long enough to get it through the engine.
I ran it on muffs to flush it well.
Fogger in the intake
lowered the trim as far down as it could go for storage.
All batteries on float charger

We don't get super cold in western oklahoma. But, damage from freezing water is my main concern.

Grease the steering rod, grease the zerc fittings on the horizontal and vertical pivot points. Top off the PTT fluid, empty or replace the water separator or clean the fuel; filter, whichever you have. Some of those motors have an inline fuel filter under the cowling.

Top off the boat oil reservoir if you have oil injection still operating.

I Forgot to list some of the things I had done.
I drained and refilled the lower unit.
Greased all of the zerc fittings
Greased the steering rod
Topped off the oil injection tank

It has the inline fuel filter. I'll go take a look at that.
It'll need a new water pump impeller before spring. The water from the tell-tail was pretty hot when I flushed it.

Thanks for the peace of mind.

Spray block and electrics with WD40. When you put it back in service let exposed engine sit in the sun for a few hours before you start it.

OK, I'll bite...What is the purpose of letting the block sit in the sun?
