confusing info on water shutters:

Hello, im getting confusing mixed info for replacing the 14348 2.5 X 4.5 mercruiser water shutters. the ones they want to give me have the shaft in the center but my old ones have an offset shaft. thes are from the v6 4.3 mercruiser vortex.
Any insight is greatly appreciated

i saw that , they look so different. So these definitely will work? I can actually get the originals but they dont have the grommets and the rods so there useless..

The new style shutters work, just be careful putting them into the wye pipe. They are snug and the plastic is fairly thin. i installed them into my 4.3 and they work great.

thanks . I plan on cleaning them out real well. Lot of carbon and rust
