Hello, my starboard bravo iii outdrive moves much slower (up and down) than port outdrive. It has been like this for years. What could be at fault? What controls the trim speed ?

Either the ram is dragging and needs resealed, or the pump is weak. In most cases its the ram, and takes 30 or so dollars to clean and reseal. Look for Mercruiser 25-87400A2

AllDodge, if the ram is dragging and needs resealing shouldnt have a loss of fluid?

Nope,... Not necessarily,... The gland nut can get a build up of sea critters or corrosion bindin' the ram, without leakin' oil out,...

Who knows, unless you owned the boat since new, one side may have been repaired/replaced. There is a way to determine which part is causing the issue but you need some tools and high pressure gauges. The cylinder reseal is an hour job and fixes most. If you want to test and determine use this.
