Remote control 4000 gen ii friction adjust

My remote control has not enough friction. It's impossible to go at 5 knots (channel allowed max. speed) without holding control lever. Pain in the ***. It will return to idle position if not hold. No problem at higher speeds.

4000 gen ii control has no external friction adjust screw.

My question: is the nut in the picture (orange arrow) the friction adjuster in this system?

I tried to dissassembly remote lever to adjust friction starting trying to remove the lever central plastic button.

Despite using two small screwdrivers and some strength button did not popped out.

I'll remove it even I need to break... lol

hold on ,no need to break anything go here http://boatinfo.no/lib/library.html go to mercruiser, scroll all the way to the right, last manual is remote controls.
