Well that helped. I believe what I have is a cr 221v. Never heard of a CR so I'm a tad shocked.

How about more pics? We may be able to help ID her.

No Title

Still working on the deal but here is a pic for you. Still trying to determine what I'm will to pay for it with the trailer. I'm working under the assumption that the leg and engine are garbage. This is only the 2nd 22 footer I've seen in 3 years around here.

I'm sure its clear that I'm new to this game, so a key question needs answering in my mind.... how much water do I need to launch a rig this big? When empty how much water does it need to float? I apologize if this has been answered elsewhere but the search was little help on this one.

Our brochure section has 1982 SC models with most the specs except draft. I don't think it takes that much to launch.

The CR221V was called the Islander and after a period they started calling them Islanders again. Why, I don't know.

What I/O is in the boat - Mercruiser or OMC? She is sitting on what appears to be a nice galvanized trailer.

Ok, thanks for the info.

OMC. Trailer alone has got to be worth a couple hundred dollars?

OMC I/O is gonna' be a booger. I'd plan on rebuilding the transom and re-powering.

Yep, means a good amount of fabrication work. But if jasoutside can do it, fairly confident you can too. No offense intended Jason. He did a great OMC to Merc 4.3L V6 swap then swapped the V6 for a V8 before finally 'finishing' (sorta) his Islander.
