Omc cobra outdrive swap compatibility?

I have a 1995 Sunbird boat woth an OMC Cobra out drive and a fuel injected 302 ford . I hit a random shallow spot and ripped off the lower half of my outdrive. My dad gave me another complete drive but it came off an older boat 86-93 i believe and i can see several differences ...is it possible to swap parts around and make it work? Or do i need a 94-98 drive that i can't find anywhere?

Welcome aboard! You can also look for a Volvo Penta SX drive in the same year (and newer) models. Found a couple of them on eBay right now.

It won't be cheap though. They're around $1800-2500

You also have an engine where EFI & IGN parts are nearly non-existent, so if it runs good, you could sell it along with the other good parts and find a rotten boat with a good Mercruiser engine/drive and do a swap.
