Marina told me that I have a bent prop shaft while I have it at the marina. They said it would be over $500+ to replace it that includes labor and part. How many hours to replace it? Is it something I can do to save money? I'm mechanically incline if I have a DIY steps.

If you can turn a wrench, you know lefty loosey, righty tighty, then yes you can do the work yourself. But I would absolutely buy a factory shop manual for your setup so you can see how everything disassembles and reassembles again. JMHO

Since you are working on the out-drive, I would suspect you get a manual for your drive. Do a search for such a manual for whatever out-drive you will be changing the prop shaft on. You listed this in the Volvo Penta I/O so that would be th manual you would want. JMHO

Sometimes Volvo's call for special tools to disassemble their units. You might want to see if any such tool is required and then decide.
