Hello, I'm having a bit of an issue with my boat..
I've been chasing down a low WOT, not bad but I'm at 4500 rpm with a 17 pitch prop..
So I pulled the fuel filter from the carb inlet and reinstalled..
Got to the lake last night and the boat ran like garbage, wouldn't idle, etc..
The only thing I can think of is that I reinstalled the filter and/or spring wrong..
I've got the spring btwn the filter and the carb and the opening faces the fuel pump..
Is that right??
Additionally I cleared out the anti siphon valve too but that seems like you can't mess that up too easily..
Any help is appreciated...
Thanks

Thank you for the clarification. Apparently it matters which way you install the filter...

Ran into this issue twice this week, and it would be installed this way IF the filter stone was used. Before all the small paper filters and screens with a plastic body, we all used those stone filters. They have all gone by the way side these days

marc c, thanks for the link, I see what you mean about the reassembly order.
AllDodge, what you're saying is if I have the paper or mesh filter I should reassemble in the order you mentioned?
