I am still getting this engine ready to run on a pallet . today when putting antifreeze in the exchanger tank I noticed large clumps of what looks like slag or solder . I can move the two large clumps back and forth in the tank. Is this normal or should I try to remove the stuff out of the tank ?? also do I just run a hot lead to my coil to make the engine run ? Running a Mallory electronic ignition . I do not have any of the wiring out of the boat so kinda doing this all by braille.
thanks, ----a.b.

That's pretty common to have a few pieces of solder in any radiator or heat exchanger. You could remove it and shake out the pieces or just leave them.
If it works ok, they probably won't hurt anything.

HT3--thanks , there are a couple of clumps on the large side in there but I don't think they can get past the cage where the outlets are . That had me worried for a while but with all the other work to be done I did not want to stop and take the tank apart to fish the flash out , glad to hear that I don't have to go back and deal with it. Thanks
