I am buying a 1995 Crestliner Sportfisher 1750 which has the 3.0GS PNCS engine. It has been garaged for the past 2 summers.
We got it running yesterday but it idles rough - it seems to miss - and the carb is too rich. I've got a rebuild kit on the way.
Also, new cap and rotor, plugs, wires, thermostat and gaskets.
Does the Seafoam decarb procedure do anything for these engines? I've dumped a can in the gas tank but am considering dumping the fuel and starting over. Should I? Or will dumping more stabilizer in there help at all and save the gas? It has about 15-17 gallons in there yet.
What else should I be looking to replace now or before next season as part of a maintenance schedule.
Thanks for your help guys. I've been reading some in the forums but there is sooo much to digest - I could go crazy trying to piece it together on my own.
