I believe it's a 1971 chrysler 9.9. Model number 92HB Serial number 5189. I bought it 2 days ago. It started up for the owner on the second pull, ran good, no problems. I take it to the water the next day and nothing, won't fire. Can't find the choke on the motor. At the time I had just filled the gas tank up and added 50:1 ratio 2 cycle oil with it. Got home and checked the gas lines and gas is getting to the carb. Checked the spark plugs and the were blackened so I just put new ones in. I saw on another forum that a guy was having the same problem and someone told him if the motor turns over much easier with the plugs out to shoot a little oil in, spin it over several times, install the plugs and see what happens and they guy said he did it and the motor started right up. So I tried this and now the motor does not want to turn over when I pull start it

Don't put oil in the cylinders, now you need take the plugs out and pull the rope enough times to get the oil out.

Look for the choke, it's there someplace, should be right on the front of the motor.

That motor is never going to start cold without the choke. It should be a little black/chrome knob on the starboard side of the front of the motor. You need to pull the plugs back out and pull it over slowly at first, then fast to get the oil out of the cylinders. You can't pull it over because of "hydraulic lock", the oil being a liquid cannot compress. When that happens at running speed it can do serious damage, but is probably fine at cranking speed.

Tried uploading a pic of the motor but it won't let me. Been pulling to try to get the oil out and just noticed gas is shooting out in little amounts where the plugs go

Sounds like you've flooded it.

Check for spark?

There's GOTTA be a choke somewhere??

Put in new plugs.
I don't like suggesting this but maybe a quick shot of starting fluid??
Too much and it strips the oil from the bearings and cyl. walls.

The black plugs: the air/fuel screw on the carb could be set wrong.
Turn it in slowly and remember the setting. Post this.
Initial setting about 1 and 1/2 turns out from lightly seated.

Pics?? Shutterfly can help load pics.

Update. Still won't start. No more oil in cylinders, put some carb cleaner and starting fluid but nothing. Would back fire a little after a couple pulls but now it's not even doing that

Check the spark?
Change the plugs.
Even if you get spark when the plugs are out.
It's possible there is no spark when the plugs are in.
