I am trying to repair some stress cracks and digs in my gelcoat and having a hard time matching/blending new gelcoat to the original. I nailed the color once, and have not been able to for other spots. So I know the color im using is right, but my ratios are hard to keep track of were im mixing so little at a time. Other than getting the original color code and hoping it matches the 20 year old gel,,,what are some tips and tricks to color match? I tried putting a drop of un-catalyzed gel on a test spot and put hard clear plastic on it with some spit becide it but that didn't seem to work.
