Transom Seal

Need Help on Transom seal..................I have a 89 178 Chapparel XL that i'm putting a new transom in. Only seal's I'm able to locate are round in nature. The original seal appears to be in a some what rectangular shape. Does anyone know if these round seals are flexible enough to conform to my original Thks

Merc good, being a 1989, it should be a R or MR transom assembly and not a Bravo

If this is the case then your part number is 65531A1. Just need some Merc bellows adhesive and lay the seal into the grove and your good to install

Ayuh,.... It's not very dense, 'n will conform as ya tighten things together,....
