picked up my first boat...basic bayliner with a force 125..guy winterized it and said it ran,two yrs ago
trying to get it started and it would run for a bit then die,then the bottom carb started to flood(gas coming out)
tried to clean the carbs ,but no dice.. so i went ahead and ordered two rebuilt ones and a fuel pump diaphragm,etc
i then(which i should have done first) checked the compression(cold engine) top 2 were 110 and third was 90(didnt check the forth yet) this was done with an auto zone rental tester,so it might be off..
if the carbs work is that enough compression for the engine to work
