put on rebuilt carbs,has a little trouble starting (not sure if the choke is set right).. know its hard to see but ... 3 plugs look like this one is somewhat less oily..
The choke is just an electromagnet.
When energized it pulls the choke rod up into the magnet.
Sometimes the end gets gunked up and needs some WD or spray cleaner.

They usually need to be set at 1 1/2 turn out for initial adjustment.

they say the carbs say they came set to factory specs and will have to be adjusted to your motor
I did a compression test on 3 of the plugs got 115/105/105 or so. but later learned from a reply to a thread on here that I didn't do it correctly.. I'm gonna pull the plugs this week and get the real numbers
No, the timing is usually not affected by anything other than someone adjusting it.
The timing doesn't jump.
The plastic connectors can break and when the throttle is moved,
it can open and the timing not move like it's supposed to.

:lol:. sorry I meant gone like broken..(elec motor turns) I tried to flush it out/clean with wd/40(without taking the gear housing off) hoping maybe a valve was gummed up .. it shot some fluid out but that might have been the wd cause then nothing came out fluid was full of bubbles in the container
Take it apart.
Use a GOOD line wrench.
Using a regular wrench and all you'll do is strip the stainless.
The pump body is soft aluminum and the hyd. line is stainless.
Usually they have corrosion from being different metals.
You can use a torch to heat them and it might help get them loose.
Depending on the condition??? it's possible.

The repair covered in the forum is for a leak down condition.
You need to do the trouble shooting for the unit.
It's possible there is a bad seal someplace and the pumps working and the seal is letting it bleed by and not lift.
Do the leakdown tests.
