Belt change.

I need to change the belt on my mercruiser 165 i6 and was wonder when taking the side block off the mount will the engine tilt at all or will the other side that’s bolted in keep it steady?

Rear mounts also help steady the motor. It may sag a little making it a wee bit hard to get the bolts started, but it won't fall over.

make sure you check alignment after removing the mount

Remove the drive, use an 'alignment bar'.... Have a look at the videos I've done... .The link in my signature....

Buy an extra belt and wire tie it inside the bracket .
