So I finally got my parents boat out and going to get it in the water for the first time since 02-03 timeframe. Everything appears to be in great shape and just need a tune up before going in the water but I wanted to see if there is anything I am missing.

Boat is an 89' Phantom with a 2.3 Cobra OMC (232BMRMEF)

I am going to replace the following:

- Oil
- Oil Filter
- Fuel lines
- Fuel Filter
- Plugs
- Plug Wires
- Cap, Rotor, Etc
- Impeller rebuild kit

Thank you in advance for any help.

Make sure you drain and fill your gear case lubricants. And grease the stern drive. Make sure your batter is holding a full charge. If you can run it on muffs for a little bit to see it's holding temperature after you change the impeller that would be good to make sure your circulation is working right.

Welcome aboard.

Also try to remove as much of the old gas as possible. Maybe a siphon pump with a hose going into the fuel fill hose down into the tank.

Thank you southkogs. I will be sure to do all lubricants as well. I will run on muffs once it is complete then intend to sit it on a no wake lake near the house to test it out on the water before taking to the lake.

Very good point. I failed to mention that I think it was left with so little fuel in it that it may have evaporatied. I am going to look into that as I replace fuel lines and filter. Thank you for the heads up.
