Hi Everyone, new here. im looking to buy my first boat to work on and hopefully eventually get on the water.

this is a 19' rallycraft i found a listing for for REALLY cheap including trailer and motor. owner said the hull, motor, transom, and trailer are in good shape but the interior needs work/rewiring/floor replaced. how bad does this look in terms of the floor? i know the big worry is if the rot spread from the floor to other parts of the boat.

Sadly the rot spread to the floor from the other parts of the boat. Rot starts at the bottom.

It needs to be replaced based on that pretty poor picture and I would plan on replacing stringers as well as the transom, these things don't rot individually, it migrates to other things.

good to know, thank you. i may still buy it for the motor if the motor is good as it was only $100.

That floor looks so bad, but it is better than the stuff that lies below it. If you are up to the challenge, then we will be right behind you all the way :)

You have a hull needing restoration. Expext to pay between $3000 and $5000 for hull restoration
