So this is what happens, turn it over, starts fine, idles fine, but after say 10seconds it will out of no where just die, will do it everytime. Any ideas? The first couple times or so it almost sounded like it was backfiring

sounds like its starving for fuel..check fuel pump diaphragm. Squeeze bulb when it starts to die, does it change? Check fuel tank vent or leave gas cap off and see if it still dies. Make sure any fuel filters are flowing the right direction.

Wouldn’t be able to squeeze the bulb when it starts to die as when it does die, it dies imediately, and I’ll try the other suggestions tomorrow when I’m home

Install a clear glass (see through) fuel filter between the fuel pump and the carb inlet. This is more for troubleshooting and of course as a secondary fuel filter. For troubleshooting, you can actually see if the carbs are starving of fuel if the clear through fuel filters empties while the motor is running.

Fram G2 for less than $5 is sufficient for this purpose and it even comes with the hose clamps.

Get it running, then spray starting fluid around the intake side.
This includes under the fuel pump and around the carb bases.
If that makes a difference then it's sucking air somewhere, bad gaskets?

Also where are the air screws set at?
Then need to be set at 1 1/2 turn out for initial setup.
Too far in? that will make it backfire and stall.

The air screws are at 1 1/2 and I don’t think it has a air leak, I’ll check but I’m almost positive it’s getting gas and everything, it doesn’t like die slowly, it literally just cuts off and dies after like 6secs sometimes it’ll go for like 15secs and same thing

Also, how do I find out what carb I have? I called a place and they said they have a lot of rebuild kits and get the carb # ?

There are basically two types of carbs that came with the 90-120HP, one with the mechanical choke ( a butterfly at the front, TC-107A for the top carb and TC-106A for the bottom carb) and one that uses the fuel line choke (TC-120A for the top carb and TC-119A for the bottom carb.

99% of the time the carb just needs cleaning and doesn't need a "kit"
You have the model#???
No? then maybe post a few pics of the carb taken apart.
