I have went through the Evinrude Brochures from 1920 thru 1955. Nowhere did I see a 6.5 HP, let alone a Super 6.5. Granted these were for the North American market. I don't know what OMC was offering in foreign countries

Really oil usually means 16:1 gas oil. Maybe even more oil like 10:1. TCW-3 oil.

If it is something like this than it was made in the 1980s or 1990s. And would probably use 50:1 fuel mixture.

Hello Jimmbo, nice to meet you, thanks a lot for your answer, and as you can see on the hardwater photo, this is the Evinrude that I asking to tune up and ideal Oil mixture, may be is was a especial Edition Outboard, really it was a precent from a friend, it was in a very good maintenance and according to him it has around 15 years with out start, now I can run the engine, but due to bad mixture Oil it has to much smoke and i can not hold idle rpm, in slow aceleraion.
Please if some body of the forum can help me to tune up I will apreciated so much

He has another post going for this motor and he was looking for a carb kit, Also he said it has not run in 15 years so it would need a water pump. I saw one of these super 6.5 for sale near me last year. From what I saw and since read it appears to be a 6hp motor. With different decals and some kind of AC generator.

Back in the 80's, Evinrude and Johnson marketed a 6.5 HP under a Commercial Motor, designed for Professional Fishermen etc. The Johnson model was a Gold Colour.

I would think you should be able to use a Carburator Kit for a 6 HP or a 7 1/2. Same for water pump.

Factory repair kit is 439072 or aftermarket is Sierra 18-7223.---I would take the carburetor apart first to see if it needs a kit.-----Any other trouble shooting done ?-----Replace water pump impeller too.-----Inspect gearcase oil and make sure there is no water in there.

As I already said you can find your parts by looking at 1985 6hp diagrams. The 0391305 kit will work. The retainer should be in the kit, The water pump kit is 0396644. And the slow speed needle is 0432781.

Look for a hollow bolt, threaded on the outside. They vary according to model. The purpose is to compress the needle washers (2 -- usually cord), and "jam" the needle to keep it from spinning loose. The other version is a plastic retainer (no hollow bolt) that fits in the carb housing -- #16 in the diagram: http://ww2.iboats.com/Carburetor/dm/...iew_id.1546158 The object is to hold the needle tight enough to maintain the setting, but not so tight that you cannot adjust it.
