ugh!!! replacement 89 5.7 thermostat housing with no HWH outlet

My '96 4.3 has a pipe plug just below and port of the thermo hsg. It's in the water jacket. I always assumed it was for cabin hot water. Maybe your 5.7 has the same access plug.

So i lowered the pressure to under 5psi and no change. Pressure holds. Ive spun the yoke numerous times. I guess im just going to tear it apart and hope i find an issue with the seal/yoke.

my guess is your now talking about your drive vs the thread on your thermostat housing?

lol, yup. i brought the housing to a machine shop were they drilled and tapped a new hole for the fitting. done and done.
