i don’t know much about motors so maybe someone can explain to me about this. I’m purchasing a motor and the guy said he went outside to crank it but it won’t start because he don’t know how to ignite the spark? He said it has a black and white wire needing hooked up but he don’t know how to get it to throw spark? He don’t know how to engage the ignition itself. With that being said, can anyone figure out what he’s trying to tell me?

I can tell you this.------If you want it to run it every day you will need a small loan to buy fuel for it.-----A good motor for occasional use and show on a antique / classic boat.

The guy has no clue what he's talking about. Neither do we.

With any small wires REMOVED from the magneto it should spark.------Should start using the manual recoil starter.

Well yes and no. There are two small wires on the side of the magneto. One is the kill wire to stop it. Removing that one only defeats it's purpose (you can't turn it off). The other one leads to the breaker plate, and must be connected.
