Hey everyone. Looking for a template for a MC1 keyhole cutout and bolt pattern to drill. Any help?

Thanks,

The hole is there on the skin yes but it is from a 1987 Ford 2.3 and OMC drive. My Mercruiser
120 is from the 70's. I believe the drilled holes are different no? Also the key cutout the same?

A Ford 2.3 would have a Cobra drive. I'm pretty sure Cobra and Mercruisers have the same cutout. Try sticking it in the hole or use the transom plate from inside.

omc cobra hole is the same as the later mc1 about 1975 up and the other after if you have earlier mc1 its not the same its almost the same maybe some old shops might have a template or a cut out does your mc1 have the trim things on the side of the gimbal or up the top above the helmet?

early MC cut-out is similar, however later Alpha drive has two extra holes. agreed, the installation drawings go back to early 90's

however your existing cobra cut-out will be fine.

Ok. I will trace the cutout on some cardboard and put my gimbal assembly on it and see what I need to modify. Will post pics when I do this and get your thought
