Trim pump issue

Opened it up and noticed one filter? is smashed. I am guessing the oil seeps back out through there instead of being pushed through the lines.

Can I buy these filters?

Donno,..... Pull it off, 'n bench test it,......

I'm suspectin', if you pull the pump assembly off the motor, there's gonna be the end of the motor's shaft left in the pump's drive gear,.....
A snapped shaft,....

Doesn't look like the shaft snapped. I found a coupling that was loose in the pump, should it be loose like that or connected to something?

That little slotted piece is supposed to be loose like that or at least mine was loose like that and the trim is working fine.

The only thing left is the pump assembly, stuck valves or something,.....
I ain't had one apart in awhile, so can't offer where to look,.....

The picture of the collapsed filter may be giving you a hint, the filter looks like it all covered with sludge. If the filter is clogged then the pump can't move oil.
What does the bottom of the tank look like?

Agree with this...no doubt your problem, pull that filter off. The motor should spin in both direction depending on which way your pressing the up and down switch.
