Have a 2007 Volvo penta 3.0glp (red engine). I’ve been having an alarm go off constantly and had to basically disconnect everything from the battery for it to stop. Tried attaching each one separately to isolate the problem but nothing changes. The main cable to the starter works fine and it will turn over and start, but once the other accessory type cables are attached the alarm goes off. Bilge, blower, radio, none of them will work. Like their not getting power or are getting cut off.

Just curious if anyone had any thoughts on this. It's not overheating because the boat has been sitting for two days, and when I hooked everything back up last night the alarm started going off again.

You need to have it scanned to find out the code. It won't stop going off until the code is cleared.
Today's boats are much like the cars annoying check engine light

You can purchase a code reader from Rinda Technologies of Chicago for about $500 and do it yourself.

So, I'm a moron. When I was messing with it the other day I failed to connect the negative leads to the battery terminal so everything was grounding out. Attached everything and it all worked fine. Just oversight on my part, but glad it wasn't something bigger.

Is there any way to blame it on someone else? Dog?
